DCFashion Fool x Style Guru
Spread the love

It started out as a chance meeting at the Style Con convention several years ago. Who knew it would lead to me becoming a Style Guru for Ties.com? (Honestly I hate the picture that they featured on the main part of the website but hey I’m super critical.)

Working with Ties.com was one of my first collaborations as a men’s influencer and I really appreciated the opportunity. Even more than that I liked their ties and accessories. As a Style Guru, I was able to showcase my own personal style along with several other dapper gentlemen, some of whom I’ve become good friends.

As a Style Guru, I just love saying that, we took part in different challenges using the company’s products to create different looks. These included playing with patterns or showing how we’d style the same tie. The nice part was we were each able to showcase our individual personalities using Ties.com, proving the company has something for everyone.

Just recently it was a special honor to be invited to attend the Style Guru Summit in Long Beach California at the end of August. It was a chance to meet many of the guys I’d only ever seen on social media pages plus reconnect with some old friends. Ties.com really values their influencers and I appreciate that. It makes me love their products even more. Even more so was meeting Omar Sayyed, the founder and CEO. His sincerity and hands on approach to the company and his ability to connect with the each of the social influencers only makes me wish only the best for his company.

And the company is growing and adding some exciting elements. Through Sock Genius, the company has a terrific line of colorful and whimsical socks. I’m a big fan of bold and flashy socks. It’s partly because I love adding a bit of flair to my looks and also because bold patterned socks are easier to match once they come out of the dryer. In addition, their no show socks are the bomb. The company will be offering a subscription box service called Guapbox. Their service is a little different than other subscription services as it’s not a one size fits all. They will cater their boxes to your likes.

Thanks again Ties.com for making me a Style Guru. Looking forward to seeing what’s coming up in the future!
