The Rainbow Room high atop Rockefeller Center was the dramatic setting for Sergio Hudson’s Spring/Summer 2027 collection. The collection felt like a continuation of the aesthetic Hudson is known for yet still offered something new.
Sergio Hudson Explores Power, Color and Sensuality for Spring 2027
For women, I saw bold jewel-tone colors, feminine lines and fluid draping that played with a tasteful sense of sensuality. Body-conscious silhouettes, plunging necklines, cutouts and flashes of skin added allure while the tailoring and construction kept everything polished.
Hudson spoke about reversing the traditional James Bond fantasy and casting the woman as the agent with the man in the supporting role. You could see that idea play out on the runway. The womenswear carried the power and drama while the menswear offered formal elegance through sharp tailoring and tuxedo-inspired details.
The Sergio Hudson Spring 2027 Looks That Stood Out
My standouts included the yellow draped gown and the blue and fuchsia evening gown which dramatically showcased Hudson’s sensuality element. The white suit with headscarf showcased his nod to power. Formal elegance in the menswear was evident in looks like the yellow formalwear and even in something as simple as the clean white shirt and black trouser combination. And the fluid blue gown was simply one of many head-turners.
That’s what I liked about this collection. Hudson stayed true to his signature glamour, confidence and precision while keeping the looks creative and current.
