d6I love this time of year! The holidays are always so special. I look forward to putting up my tree, spending time with my family and friends and attending some great parties. The parties are always fun and you know me, anytime I get to dress up, it’s always a bonus.
D!While I love rocking a tuxedo for certain occasions, I wanted to find something that was slightly less formal but still elegant and polished. In addition, I didn’t want to rely on wearing the same old thing. I’m typically a suit and tie kind of guy so when I came across this claret colored blazer from Armani Colleczioni, I knew this is exactly what I was looking for.

18I chose this look for a holiday party with Fashion Group International. Knowing that there were going to be some extremely well dressed people in attendance, I knew I had to bring my A game. And based on my styling, I say, “Mission accomplished!”

The jacket is a deep red wine color with a lean slim fit. I paired it with black flat front trousers, white shirt and a Paul Stuart multicolored jewel toned bow tie was the perfect cocktail attire. I also think black and white thin striped slacks would also be a great look as well. I completed the look with multi colored tasseled loafers containing the same colors found in the tie.

I captured my look at Union Station in Washington DC. This travel hub has been serving travel hop since 1907 and is a magnificent building in the city. This time of year it’s adorned with large wreaths for the holidays and plays host to the annual Norwegian Christmas tree. Inside the great hall, the grand spiral staircases adorned with wreaths and golden bows was the perfect setting for staging a grand entrance.
