Spread the love

It’s the first day of spring and I’m excited. The change in season means it time to get out of those winter doldrums. No more sitting on the couch and binging Netflix because it’s too cold or rainy to be outside. Instead take you spring look outdoors. You know you’re looking forward to shedding that winter gear and you’ve probably already picked up a new few spring duds. (I know I have!) Now you just need places to show off your spring style.

You know me. I love fall/winter clothes but as I said in my last post, it’s easy to get wardrobe fatigue. So with a change of season means a chance to change it up. It’s time for new clothes or just a chance to pull out those old favorites. Now you just need some places to go. Fortunately I have 5 fun places to show off your spring style.

You Had Me At Sangria Brunch at Sequoia

We Washingtonians love a good brunch. Typically it’s reserved for Sunday Funday but why should Sunday always have all the fun? On Saturday, Sequoia tapas brunch features made to order tapas brought right to your table. Add bottomless and other cocktails and if the weather cooperates eat outside along the Georgetown Waterfront. Snap a few pics of your look for posterity.

DC Foodie Tours

Here’s a chance to experience some of DC’s local cuisine and get a bit of exercise in between. Mangia DC has organized these fun filled light walks where you can get a bit of cultural, experience parts of DC and sample some great food along the way. You can opt for the Georgetown Foodie Tour or the Italian Food Tour – Dupont Circle. Either way why you’re exploring the city you may find the perfect Instagram worthy spot to show of your spring style

Washington DC Scavenger Hunts

A great way to learn about DC neighborhoods or museums is to go on a scavenger hunt. A little friendly competition through a scavenger hunt is a fun way to satisfy many of the type A personalities here in the District. Watson Adventures offers a variety of these hunts throughout the city. I mean really. If you’re running around taking pictures, you better look your best especially if you happen to pop up in any of the pics

Wine or Spirits Tastings

While there may not be sprawling vineyards to get that perfect photo, there are still plenty of great shots (literally) to be had at One Eight Distilling located in NE Washington. Over in SE, hit the tasting room of District Winery, the city’s first winery. All dressed up and no place to go? A tour and tasting at either of this spots is just the ticket to show your spring style. Best of all, you didn’t even have to leave the city! Just remember to drink responsibly while you look fantastic.

What am I wearing

I know what you’re thinking, “Florals? For spring? Groundbreaking!) However what Miranda Priestley just ignored was florals are great for spring. Notice mine in a darker color than the pastel look you normally see. Pair it with a lighter color pant and a sweater in case of weather changes.

Floral shirt – Express | Light grey cotton stretch pant – Express | Grey merino wool-blend thermal regulating sweater – Express | Logo belt – Prada | Sneakers – Adidas | Sunglasses – Quay Australia
